(KNZA)--It's planned to become an annual event, as the Hiawatha Chamber of Commerce Saturday holds the first Summer Block Party Fun and Run.
Including an inflatable carnival for all ages, the event, running from 5:00 until midnight, will also include a beer garden, music, food and activities benefitting other local organizations.
The Glo Stick 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:30, following registration from 5:00 until 8:00.
The $30.00 entry fee will support future Chamber actitivities.
The varying prices for admission into the inflatable carnival are earmarked to support Hiawatha's 100th Annual Halloween Parade.
