(KAIR) -- An Atchison woman escaped serious injury following a four-vehicle injury accident at one of Atchison's busier residential intersections Saturday afternoon.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says a Ford van driven by Kevin Lis of Leavenworth was southbound on 10th Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign, striking an eastbound 2001 Cadillac driven by 60-year-old Gaye Theurer on Kansas Avenue.
That caused the Theurer vehicle to spin and strike a 2006 Cadillac driven by 64-year-old Helen Billington.
Meanwhile, after the Lis van struck the Theurer vehicle, the van continued into a nearby driveway and struck a carport and the Toyota pickup inside it.
Theurer was transported by ambulance to Atchison Hospital with minor injuries.
Lis and Billington were not injured.
Wilson says Lis was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
