Falls City Police Investigating Injury Accident Occurring Over Several Blocks
(KLZA) An investigation by the Falls City Police Department continues into an accident that stretched from about 700 East 14th Street to 14th and Fulton Wednesday afternoon.
The accident report isn't yet completed, but Assistant Police Chief Duane Armbruster said Timothy Wittwer of Falls City was westbound in a Chevy S-10 pickup about 4:40 and his pickup was involved with another westbound pickup, a Ford F-350 driven by Philip Doerr.
Wittwer was transported to Community Medical Center with what were described as non-life threatening injuries to his back. Wittwer was later transferred to a Lincoln hospital due to his injuries.
Armbruster said that Doerr was issued a citation for willful reckless driving.
The investigation is ongoing and it is possible that more citations could be issued in connection to this incident.
