(KTNC) - A Tarkio woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident late Tuesday morning near Tarkio.
The Missouri State Patrol says a 2012 GMC, driven by Gertrude Thomson of Tarkio, collided with a 2013 Toyota driven by James Short of Auburn at the intersection of Atchison County Road T and U.S. Highway 136, four miles east of Tarkio.
Officials say Thomson was southbound on County Road T and failed to yield to Short’s eastbound vehicle as she attempted to cross the highway.
Thomson was taken by private vehicle to the Fairfax Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Short was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The accident was reported at 11:47 Tuesday morning.
