07/19/2013

(KLZA) The Big Indian Recreation Area in southeast Nebraska is scheduled to completely reopen.

Lower Big Blue Natural Resources District officials say the months-long renovation work has been completed and the lake is full.

The south gates will open Friday, allowing access to the boat ramp and beach areas. Access to the archery range and to a camping area on the northeast side have been available already this year

The recreation area sits about six miles east of Odell, in southern Gage County.
