PLATTSMOUTH, Neb. (AP) - Authorities have identified the 13-year-old Nebraska boy who died after a semitrailer truck slammed into a line of stopped cars.
The Cass County Sheriff's office said Sunday that Nathan Houfek is the boy who died after Friday's accident on Highway 75 near Plattsmouth.
The crash happened Friday afternoon when the semi crested a hill and slammed into a line of cars stopped for construction.
Nathan died after being flown to an Omaha hospital. Officials say 42-year-old Kelley Houfek and another child in the same car were also flown to Omaha.
Sixty-six-year-old Phyllis Durand was in a different car. She was also flown to Omaha.
Kelley Houfek was released from the hospital on Sunday, and Durand's condition improved to fair.
