(KTNC) - A full day of activities is planned this Saturday at the City Park in Shubert, as a fledgling organization will hold its first fundraiser to benefit children in the community.
Nathan Handley is the president of the Shubert 4-Kidz organization. He says everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the events, which will begin early in the day and continue late into the evening. (play audio :36 “a little nicer.”)
Handley says Shubert 4-Kidz started about three months ago and this is their first fundraiser. He says they hope to make some much-needed improvements, to make the Shubert Park a more enjoyable place for families. (play audio :14 “more or less.”)
To sign up a team for the co-ed volleyball tournament, contact Abby Shubert at 402-883-7648. Handley says the horseshoe tournament is open to anyone, and there is no pre-registration required for the car show.
There is a charge of five dollars per person and ten dollars per cooler for Saturday night’s concert.
