(KAIR)--A second Atchison burglary, in the same neighborhood, focused on the same type of items, just days apart, leave police believing the possibility that a serial burglar could be on the loose.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says the latest case, occurring in the 900 block of North 10th Street, was reported Thursday, with the 46-year-old victim suffering a loss of around $5,600.
Among the items taken were jewelry and electronics.
Wilson says the burglar forced open a door to gain entrance to the residence sometime during the day on Thursday.
Leads are being followed, but so far no definite suspects have emerged.
