(KLZA) It will be a big week for blood donations around Southeast Nebraska.
Summer generally means a decrease in donations with high schools and colleges out of session for the summer.
April Oppliger with the Red Cross office in Omaha says there is a need for blood and that a number of blood drives are being held this week. ( play audio :31 )

August 1st – Thursday – Falls City - Prichard Auditorium noon until 6 p-m.
August 1st – Thursday – at Johnson-Brock High School from 1 – 7 p-m.
August 2nd – Friday – Falls City – Prichard Auditorium 9 a-m until 3 p-m.
August 2nd – Friday – at the 4-H Building in Auburn from 1 – 7 p-m.
