(KMZA)--It's an obvious site in rural areas across the local region, as crop-dusting airplanes buzz above farm fields, spraying the crops below.
Exactly what they're spraying for isn't always apparent, and comes depending on the needs of the season.
Justin Kearns is the General Manager of the Seneca-based Heinen Brothers Agra Services which provides crop dusting services both locally and elsewhere in the state(Play Audio)
Kearns says the current spray schedule also include additional protections for the corn crops(Play Audio)
Commonly questions regarding the crop dusting arises during the season, and Kearns says those can be answered properly only if proper identification of specific aircraft can be provided. That can be done by jotting down the numbers found on the tail of the plane.
