Other events new to Cobblestone this year include a three-on-three basketball tournament on Sunday, and a Saturday evening movie that will be shown on a giant inflatable movie screen set up on the Cobblestone stage.
Traditional events include the parade, Falls City’s Got Talent, Firemen’s fishing contest, car show, Little Mr. and Miss Cobblestone, carnival rides, flea market, and Sunday Vespers service.
Barr encourages people to register in advance for the Cobblestone weekend contests. Many of those activities have an entry fee of a five-dollar donation, or a non-perishable food item, for the SENCA food pantry.
For more information on the Cobblestone Festival, or to volunteer during the weekend, contact the Chamber of Commerce office at 402-245-4428. The Chamber office also has a complete list of events, times and locations. Barr says people can also visit the Falls City Chamber and Main Street Facebook page to vote on their choice for Saturday evening’s movie.
