Parts of Missouri Still Abnormally Dry
08/02/2013

(KTNC) - Some areas of Missouri are in good shape as far as rain totals are concerned, but north central and west central Missouri still need additional rain.
State climatologist Pat Guinan says parts of the state are much drier than normal.  (play audio   :25     “three inches.”)
Guinan says that while some areas of the state are drier than normal, this year has not been as stressful on crops as last year's drought.  (play audio   :27     “this year.”)
Guinan says June saw normal temperatures and July’s average was a few degrees below normal.  Other areas of Missouri, especially south of I-70, have received adequate rain this summer that they didn’t get last year.
