(KNZA)--Omaha, Nebraska is the sight Sunday of auditions for TV’s “American Idol,” with thousands descending on the city in hopes of finding their shot at fame and celebrity.
Among the throngs of hopeful talent is a teenage girl from the local area, seeking her chance for stardom.
16-year-old Kassydi Miller is a former Hiawatha high school student who will enter her junior year at Doniphan West for the fall semester.
The White Cloud resident says she’s nervous heading into her audition, but plans to be confident as she sings the music of her idol, Johnny Cash, expecting to perform either “Hurt or “Folsom Prison Blues.”
Registration in Omaha for “American Idol” auditions is Saturday, while the actual auditions happen Sunday, with both taking place at the CenturyLink Center.
