(KTNC) - The first day of class for Pawnee City students is Wednesday, with a noon dismissal that day. The normal school day remains the same as last year, with classes beginning at 8:10 a.m. and dismissing at 3:40 p.m. Classes will dismiss at 2:00 p.m. on Fridays for staff development.
School lunch prices in Pawnee City are $2.30 for Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade and $2.50 for grades seven through 12. Breakfast costs $1.55 for all grades.
The Pawnee City School will host an open house at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seventh grade orientation will be held at the same time. The “boot camp” for computer checkout will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Pawnee City School District is welcoming two new teachers this year, one who is a familiar face.
Taylor Baumert is a Pawnee City High School graduate. He’ll teach Social Studies and coach junior high sports, as well as football and girls’ basketball.
Christina Hilger joins the Pawnee City School staff as an art instructor. She will also help with the speech team.
