(KAIR)--An Atchison woman is dead following a double vehicle crash in Topeka Thursday night.
The victim is identified as 27-year-old Julie Selberg. The Kansas Highway Patrol says she was the driver of a car eastbound on 62nd Street, in Topeka, that failed to stop at a stop sign at the U.S. Highway 75/62nd Street intersection. Selberg’s car entered the highway in front of an SUV, and was struck in the driver’s side door.
The 72-year-old Topeka resident behind the wheel of the SUV was injured and transported to Stormont Vail for treatment.
The patrol says both drivers were wearing seatbelts when the fatal wreck happened around 10:30.
Funeral arrangements for Selberg are pending.
