(KAIR)--Another twist in the push to oust the current leadership of Atchison based MGP Ingredients, with a petition now circulating online seeking their removal.
That follows the ongoing legal battle between the company and a group of preferred shareholders, led by relatives of MGP’s founder, to remove CEO Tim Newkirk, and board members John Speirs and John Byom.
The petition, created on the website change.org by Lawrence resident Peony Allen calls for all three to resign, saying that their tactics are putting MGP, it’s employees, and stockholders at financial risk.
Concerns have been circulating that the company’s leadership may break up the company or sell parts of it off.
