(KAIR)--A familiar face will again grace Atchison County offices as Jim Lampe has returned as the full time county appraiser.
According to county commissioner Jeff Schuele , part of Lampe's retirement plan required him to be off the county's full time payroll for two months. During those two months, Larry Reynolds stepped in to preform the duties of county appraiser.
During Tuesday's meeting, the commissioners approved the return of Lampe to full time status, as well as accepting the resignation of Reynolds. The commission also agreed to pay Reynolds $3,600 for his time as appraiser.
Schuele says the county hired Lampe for four years, and could change appraisers next year, though nothing is expected to change before the end of this year.
