(KAIR)--Atchison police worked two domestic disturbance incidents Saturday night and one local woman was involved in both.
Atchison police chief Mike Wilson says the first incident occurred at the 800 block of Parallel around 6:30. The 59 year old victim reported significant damage to the home. About $100 worth of damage was done to a window as well as some yard ornaments. There was a female suspect in this case, but she was not at the residence at the time.
Later that night, around 8:45, police responded to the second case of domestic disturbance, this time located at the 500 block of Park. The victim was the same 59 year old male from the first incident. This time, he had suffered physical injury from the same woman. It was determined that he had been struck over the head with a sack full of items as well as some lawn ornaments. 47-year-old Cynthia Cook had also dragged the victim from an ally into the residence.
Cook was transported to the Atchison county jail where she faces charges of aggravated battery, criminal restraint, and criminal damage to property. No bond has been set.
