(MSC News)--A Muscotah man is dead, succumbing to injuries suffered in an early September farm accident.
Dale Bodenhausen was 83-years-old at the time of death Monday at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
That's where he was flown by helicopter following the September 7th accident that occurred when he was at work on his Muscotah farm.
According to initial reports from Atchison County rescue crews, Bodenhausen suffered head injuries when a tow strap, attached to a tractor, broke.
He will be laid to rest Thursday in the Camp Creek Cemetery, following afternoon funeral services at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.
Bodenhausen, a lifelong farmer and dairyman, served on numerous boards and committees, helping to organize the Atchison County Dairy Board on which he served.
Among his survivors are his wife, Mary, his three sons and three grandchildren.
