(KNZA)--Old fashioned family fun is the theme Saturday as the annual ranch rodeo returns to Jackson County.
Held at the Kansas Heritage Complex, south of Holton, the Old Fashioned Fun Day is sponsored by the Jackson County Fair Association, and will feature a variety of family entertainment.
Fair Association spokeswoman Deb Dillner says the highlight will be the afternoon's ranch rodeo competition.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the continuing expansion of the Kansas Heritage Complex, with a free will donation to be collected as the admission fee.
Gates open at 11:00 Saturday morning with activities set to start at 12:30.
A chili dinner will be served at 5:00, around the same time that winners of the day's competitions will be announced.
Silent and live auctions, raising funds for the Kansass Heritage Complex expansion, will also take place during the event.
