Two Leavenworth Residents Injured In Crash
(KAIR)--Two Leavenworth residents were injured Sunday morning when their vehicle was struck by another vehicle on US-73 near Kansas City.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2011 Chevrolet Impala driven by 61-year- old Donald Edmonds of Leavenworth was traveling southbound on U.S. 73 and was turning eastbound onto Parallel when it was struck by a 1993 Chevrolet Lumina driven by 37-year-old Joy King of Basehor. King was traveling northbound on US 73 and allegedly ran through a red light before striking the vehicle driven by Edmonds.
The passenger in Edmonds' vehicle, 14-year-old Hope Edmonds of Leavenworth was transported to Overland Park Regional hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. King and her three year old passenger were not injured. Donald Edmonds suffered possible injuries, but was not transported.The accident occured around 10:15 a.m.
