(KLZA) Richardson County Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert informed Richardson County Commissioners Tuesday that bridge inspections are being done now as the Preston Road hard surfacing project gets closer to being completed.
Huppert also informed Commissioners that he has ordered rural address signs to replace those that have faded.
County Attorney Doug Merz introduced newly hired Deputy County Attorney Zachary Blackman. Blackman began his duties in Richardson County on November 11th.
Commissioners met in executive session with the Veterans Service Committee, County Attorney Merz and County Clerk Mary Eickhoff for approximately one hour to discuss personnel matters. The person involved was contacted and did not wish to attend the meeting or have a public session.
Board members voted to enter into an agreement with the City of Humboldt for the County to provide law enforcement services through August 31, 2016. The contract will include a 3 percent cost increase each year. The total amount Humboldt will pay the County over the three-year is $185,763.
An agreement for the County to provide enforcement of ordinances for the Village of Shubert was also approved. Shubert will pay $100 per month to the County.
