(KLZA) -- The Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer School Board continues to look at the possibilities of an addition to the north side of the building in Humboldt. Further discussion was held during this week’s board meeting about possible uses for the proposed addition.
Ways to provide a Future Farmers of America program in the HTRS school district continues to be reviewed. Hopes are for more information to be presented during the January Board meeting.
Cindy Stalder and some of her Junior High Robotics students made a presentation to Board members about that program during the meeting. Information compiled for a Board Self-Assessment and the Superintendent Evaluations were presented to Board members. Discussion will be held on these matters in January.
In November members of the HTRS National Honor Society presented information to Board members on school policies concerning the wearing of hoodies, which HTRS students are not allowed to do at school, as well as the use of cell phones in school. Superintendent Clint Kimbrough said the Board members have agreed to allow hoodies to be worn in school, but the cell phone policies are another matter. Students will be allowed to use their cell phone before and after school but not during the school day.
