(KAIR)--A Winchester man is in custody after Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies respond to a pair of domestic disturbance calls.
According to Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig, officers were first called to 1001 Delaware in Winchester on December 10th for a report of two men fighting in an ally behind the residence. When officials arrived, they took reports, but did not make any arrests.
Deputies were called to the same scene Friday evening just before 7:00 for a report of domestic disturbance. Herrig says that deputies discovered that the same two men had been fighting again, and 52-year-old Clarence Gauger had allegedly struck Charles Baisch on the back of the head with a piece of rebar.
Gauger was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on charges of aggravated battery and endagering a child under the age of eighteen. Herrig says this second charge comes as a result of the incident allegedly occurring with a child present.
Baisch did not seek treatment for his injuries.
