Omaha to Host Job Fair for Veterans
(AP) - Another job fair for veterans and their spouses will be held in Omaha.
The Hiring Our Heroes program organizing the job fairs nationwide is trying to help veterans transition into civilian life.
The employment rate for recent veterans has remained higher than the rest of the nation.
Union Pacific railroad is sponsoring the job fair on February 19th, but other employers will be featured as well. The fair at the DC Centre in northwest Omaha will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A group of 50 veterans will also have the chance to attend a workshop just before the job fair to strengthen their job-seeking skills. More details about the event are available online at WWW DOT HiringOurHeroes DOT org.
