(KLZA) --Falls City Mayor Tim Hersh is expected to recommend during Monday night’s City Council meeting that Duane Armbruster be appointed Chief of Police. Armbruster was recommended for appointment by the Police and Fire Employment Selection Board to replace John Caverzagie who resigned in December.
Armbruster is a veteran of the Department and has served in recent years and Assistant Chief and Lead Investigator for the Department.
If the Council approves the appointment they will then act on a request to set the Chief of Police Wage and benefits.
The Council will also take action on various board appointments and receive the 4th quarter update from Falls City Chamber and Main Street Executive Director David Branch.
A request to use various streets and Stanton Lake Park for an Easter one mile and 5K run will be heard as will a number of requests to rent Prichard Auditorium and allow alcohol to be served at the events.
