(KNZA)--Plans are underway for the 40th annual Biking Across Kansas bicycle tour, which this year will include overnight stops in Hiawatha and Oskaloosa.
The nearly 550-mile ride across the state will begin on Saturday, June 7th near the Kansas-Colorado border west of Elkhart and end on June 14th in White Cloud near the Missouri River.
The cyclists will spend the night of June 12th in Oskaloosa before traveling to Hiawatha where they will spend their final night on June 13th .
Biking Across Kansas began in 1975 and has been held annually ever since. The route varies from year to year.
