(KNZA)--The Brown County Community of Reserve remains under a boil water advisory, which will remain in place at least through the weekend, following the third water main break since last week.
A partial water shut-off is currently in place, but full service will be shut down early Thursday morning while crews make the necessary repairs.
Reserve residents in need of water during the shut-off are told to contact Mayor Janice Sanders who will provide them with bottled water.
Contract license water operator Dave Grimm says such breaks are not uncommon this time of year, with ground frost moisture causing a weight increase in the soil that, in turn, puts stress on the pipes, causing them to break.
Another issue is also being blamed for the breaks in Reserve, as glue joints in the pipes have reached their maximum lifespan.
