(KMZA)--Work is expected to begin April 17th on a resurfacing and drainage improvement project on U.S. 36 Highway in Seneca.
The Seneca City Council last week approved a contract with the Salina-based engineering firm Wilson and Company to provide inspection services for the project at a cost not to exceed $168,100. Funding will come from the city’s electrical fund.
City Administrator Matt Rehder says a bid letting for the project, which will take place from 1st to 11th Streets, is set for March 19th.
A grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation will cover about one-million dollars of the project cost, with the city responsible for the remainder.
