(KAIR)--Atchison County officials issued another burn ban for the county Sunday, in response to a Red Flag Warning that has been issued by the National Weather Service.
A Red Flag Warning is put out when an area's current humidity, combined with low moisture and high winds could lead to a fire going out of control. Officials are asking residents to please refrain from any outdoor burning activities.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the ban, you can contact the Atchison County Emergency Management Department at 913-833-4025.
The ban will be in effect until further notice.
