(KTNC) -- Area organizations looking to complete a service project this summer can help at the Krumme Memorial Arboretum in Falls City – and receive a donation for their efforts.
The Arboretum Work Group is offering groups at least $100 for volunteering for part of a day.
Arboretum Curator Gerald Hopp says they hope groups can put two hours in to help maintain the property. Work includes mowing, sweeping sidewalks, raking leaves, weeding, and mulching.
Hopp says the base donation will be $100, and can be more depending on the type of work done and the time needed to do the work.
Organizations that can volunteer include youth, school, and church groups, and service clubs. Times and dates for groups to be at the Arboretum will vary each month.
Groups interested in volunteering should contact Gerald Hopp at 402-245-2850 or e-mail gkhopp@sentco.net.
