Pawnee County Election Results

(KTNC) -  There were a few Republican primary races in Pawnee County Tuesday and five candidates running for four spots on the November ballot in the Pawnee City Council race.
 In the race for County Clerk, Candi Tuxhorn and Mary Sporhase were running to replace longtime Clerk Carol Young, who did not run for reelection. Unofficial results show Tuxhorn winning the race with 517 votes to 98 for Sporhase.
 Incumbent Treasurer Cheryl Dahlgren won another term, warding off a challenge from Stefanie Rauner by 26 votes. Dahlgren received 322 votes and Rauner 296.
 In Pawnee County Commission District Two, former Commissioner Kay Laun won her old seat, defeating incumbent Brad Stake, by a 59-to-41 percent margin.
 No Democrats ran for any of those contested primaries in Pawnee County.
 In Pawnee City, five candidates were on the ballot for two city council seats. The top four vote-getters advance to November’s general election. Unofficial results Tuesday show incumbent Charlie Hatfield with 129 votes, John Wissler and Mark Sunneberg Jr. with 120 votes each, Gale Nutter with 85 votes, and R.J. Hickey with 72 votes.
 Just under 46-percent of eligible voters cast ballots in Pawnee County Tuesday.
