(KLZA)-- The Pawnee County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution to adopt a cash-out option under the Section 125 Cafeteria Plan for health insurance offering cash in lieu of benefits when they met last week.
The Board also approved a resolution adopting a new Flexible Benefit Plan effective January 1, 2016.
Jaime Hackmann with Hamm’s Quarry met with Commissioners to discuss why Pawnee County has purchased a smaller amount of rock from the Quarry in 2015. The Board and Highway Superintendent Chris Rauner discussed that the quality of rock wasn’t what the County wants to use. Hackmann indicated the quarry has a new pile of clean rock and would like the County to try it.
Pawnee County will rock one mile of road with Hamm’s providing two loads of free rock along with the Counties purchase so the County can test the quality.
The bid for a bridge project northwest of Table Rock was awarded to K2 Construction.
