The Friends of the Morrill Public Library in Hiawatha invite the public to their annual meeting on Saturday, February 11
The meeting will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Fisher Center.
The music group "Lads and Lassies" from Highland Community College will provide the program, and refreshments will be served.
The Friends of the Library are volunteers who work to enhance the services of the Library. They raise funds through membership fees, contributions, and the sale of used books to support a variety of programs and services at the Library. In 2011, the Friends provided support for the summer reading program, "Books for Babies," Kansas Reads to Preschoolers kickoff, and much more.
This event wraps up Friend’s annual membership drive, which began in January.
Memberships can be obtained at the event, or any time at the upper level circulation desk at the Library. For more information, call the Library at 742-3831.
