With fall sports season fully in the books some local area high school seniors who are looking to continue their sports careers in some of those fall sports have signed or are planning on signing letter's of intent to play basketball and wrestling at some colleges in Kansas.
Three area athletes on the basketball side will continue their basketball careers in the collegiate ranks. Hiawatha Red Hawk, Drake Woehlecke, plans to continue his basketball career at Kansas Wesleyan University. Woehlecke will sign his letter of intent April 11th at 11:00am in the Hiawatha high school library.
While a Royal Valley Panther and Horton Charger will team up next year at Butler County Community College, as Royal Valley senior, Chelsea Hodison and Horton senior, Shayla Whitebird plan on continuing their basketball careers there. Hodison has already signed her LOI, while Whitebird will sign hers April 11th at 11:40am in the Horton high school gym.
Another Horton Charger plans on continue his sports career collegiate, that being Hunter Speer, in his sport of choice, wrestling. Speer plans on signing his LOI on May 4th at 11:40am in the Horton high school gym.
