Some of the area's top talent was on display at the First Christian Church in Atchison last (Thursday) evening.
The special program - Atchison's Got Talent - featured singers, dancers, musicians, an actor, and even an acrobat.
Benedictine student Katie Friess, who served as on of the show's judges, liked what she saw out of the contestants...

Each participant chose a local charity to represent, and those finishing in the top three received a cash prize to donate to the charity of their choice.
Taking first place with a solo performance from Hamlet was Chuck Pulliam, who picked the YMCA as his charity.
Runner-up went to 18-year-old Tyler Layfield, representing the Salvation Army.

And coming in third place was Meg Hunter-Kilmer, who sang a solo and represented Doves.
Nearly a hundred area residents attended the talent show, presented by the Leadership Atchison Class at Benedictine College.
The class is sponsored by the Atchison Area Chamber of Commerce, and receives scholarship support from the United Way.
