A reorganization is underway for the Northeast Kansas Community Action Program; and, while response times may be slow going for the current time, services are not expected to be disrupted or cut.
This news department had a chance, via speaker phone, to interview Executive Director Jeanette Collier and Integrated Services Specialist Jet Sperfslage about the changes underway(Play Audio :14 seconds)
Staff changes have been made, as well as the relocation of the Brown County NEK-CAP outreach office. Those seeking services, and assistance, are asked to adapt to that change, and to be patient during the NEK-CAP overhaul(Play Audio :37 seconds)
Many of the changes should be finalized by next month; but, the reorganization of staffing positions-with current staff members having the first chance at applying during the restructuring-likely to take until August 4th(Play Audio :26 seconds)
In the meantime, the restructuring process will mean limited office hours and staff, meaning that returning phone messages left with the central office may be delayed.
Customers are asked to allow extra time from NEK-CAP, and to be patient as the changes are implemented.
