Slow progress, but progress nonetheless.
That's how Kansas State Representative Trent LeDoux describes his condition following surgery last week.
The Holton Republican has been undergoing hospitalized treatment since late February after he was diagnosed with (pank-ree-uh-ty-tis) pancreatitis.
LeDoux Saturday posted an update regarding his medical status on his Facebook page.
He explained last Tuesday's surgery, saying his gall bladder and twelve inches of colon were removed. Additionally, he underwent colostomy surgery, and had a feeding tube installed, all due to his severely damaged pancreas.
LeDoux is seeking election to the 50th District House seat he was appointed to, challenged by Holton businessman Dan Brenner and Doctor David Allen, who resides in Soldier.
The 50th District of Kansas currently includes all of Jackson County and a northern portion of Shawnee County.
