A full day of activities in Muscotah Saturday, as the Atchison County community will again host the annual "Festival of Roses."
Beginning that morning at 8:00 with rolls and coffee, in the city park, a car, tractor and motorcycle show will begin at that same time, and run until 2:00 that afternoon.
Returning, for the second year, will be the "Paws in the Park" dog show.
Volunteer Wanda Small, who worked to see the event become a reality last year, says a few changes lie in store for pet owners and their dogs(Play Audio)
Prizes will be handed out in each of the categories.

Other events Saturday will include Rose tours, running from 10 until 3:00, as a quilt show runs from 10 until 4:00.
While festival goers enjoy food and refreshments, games and competitions will get underway at 10:00.
At high noon, the entertainment begins, including a surprise guest at 1:30.
At 11:00, school house tours begin, along with the traditional garden tractor pull.
A ping pong scramble is set for the same time, with the day to conclude with an awards ceremony at 4:00. .
