Ryan Bruggeman

Charges have been filed against a former Sabetha police officer.
Ryan Bruggeman was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with one count each of distribution of methamphetamine and official misconduct, both felonies.
The charges were filed in Nemaha County District Court following an investigation by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
Bruggeman is to make his first appearance in court on Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock.
According to court documents, the alleged crimes occurred on December 19th of 2010.  The wording of the documents indicate that the meth in question was apparently taken from police evidence.
Bruggeman was an officer with the Sabetha Police Department from June 2009 through April 11th, 2011.
Bruggeman is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $150,000 bond.
The case is being prosecuted by the Kansas Attorney General’s office.
