Despite the Sunday night rainfall, hot and dry weather is having an adverse affect on area crops.  For the past several weeks forecasters have called for a chance of weekend rains but for the most part the timely rains have missed the area.
With corn starting to roll and wilt, we asked University of Missouri Regional Agronomist Wayne Flanary at the Holt County Extension Office for an update on the crops. ( play audio :24 seconds )
