First Hiawatha Cash Mob a Success
06/28/2012

Future cash mobs are planned to show support for local businesses.

The first ever Hiawatha Cash Mob is being called a success.

More than 30 individuals took part in the Cash Mob Monday night at Just for You Jewelry and Gifts, with some spending quite a bit more than $20.

Owner Debbie Phillips was on board to accept the challenge. She was enthused about the success and the number of community members that took part.

The event was planned by the Hiawatha Ambassadors- a spin-off of the Envisioning Hiawatha group that met last fall.

After the mobsters did some shopping they enjoyed ice cream made by the Brown County Genealogical Society and some homegrown jazz music on the courthouse lawn, led by Damian Johnson.
