Southbound Interstate 29 Shut Down Due to Accident
06/29/2012

Southbound Interstate 29 from the Corning exit to the Craig exit is now closed in Northwest Missouri, due to a traffic accident. Southbound traffic is being re-routed at the Corning exit (99 MM) onto Route 111 to U.S. Hwy 59 near Craig, continuing back to I-29, near Craig (92 MM). This necessary closure may last up to 5 hours as announced by the Missouri Department of Transportation.
The Holt County Sheriff’s Department said there was a two-vehicle accident at mile marker 92 south of Craig.
According to an eye-witness it appears that a semi-truck and a car were involved in the accident and there appears to be grain on the interstate.
We will have more details as they become available.
