A single-vehicle accident on U.S. 75 Highway in Nemaha County early Saturday morning claimed the life of an Oklahoma teenager and sent three others to area hospitals.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the accident was reported shortly after 6:30 a.m. about 4 tenths of mile south of the Nebraska/Kansas state line.
The Patrol says 39-year-old Nicki Isaac of Hydro, Oklahoma was traveling north on U-S 75 when for unknown reason her Chevy Tahoe entered the southbound lanes and she began over correcting.
Her vehicle then overturned several times back across the northbound lanes, coming to rest upside down in a bean field.
A passenger, 13-year-old Taylor Isaac, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nicki Isaac was flown to the K-U Medical Center in Kansas City.
Two other passengers in her vehicle, 14-year-old Jacob Isaac and 10-year-old Mackenize Isaac, were taken to the Sabetha Community Hospital with possible injuries.
The accident was reported shortly after 6:30 Saturday morning.
