Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident on a Jackson County road Tuesday afternoon just north of Mayetta.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Shawn Meggison of Holton was traveling east on 166th Road when he came over the top of a hill and hit some loose gravel. His 2000 Ford F150 pickup entered a ditch on the south side of the road.
Meggison and a passenger, 14-year-old Larenz Banks of Mayetta, were taken to the Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.
The Patrol says neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
The accident was reported around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon east of R Road.
