( KNZA )--David Thompson has been re-elected president of the Hiawatha USD 415 Board of Education for the 2012-2013 school year.
Matt Sprick was re-elected vice-president during the board’s annual organizational meeting Monday evening.
Following a closed-door session, the board approved a $150 increase in Kim Lillie’s contract as middle school athletic director.
It was the first board meeting for new Superintendent of Schools Penny Hargrove who began work last week replacing longtime superintendent John Severin.
Hargrove comes to Hiawatha after serving as assistance superintendent of schools in Valley Center the past four years.
