KLZA - Following a couple of months of discussion, the Humboldt – Table Rock – Steinauer School Board has approved a policy change concerning how classes count toward the high school students grade point average.
Superintendent Clint Kimbrough talked about the changes approved on a 6-3 vote Monday night. ( play audio :26 seconds )
Among the classes included in the weighted grading are upper level classes in math, language arts and business. Voting against the proposed changes to policy 6008 were Board members Neil Kanel, Ben Steffen and Sandy Stalder.
Superintendent Kimbrough says the changes take effect immediately but will likely provide a better system after a four-year cycle. ( play audio :28 seconds )
In other business the HTRS School Board heard updates on summer maintenance projects and an Evaluation Management Program introduced by Board President Steve Schaardt.
