( KNZA )--A former Elwood city official has pleaded guilty to charges as part of a plea agreement.
Former deputy city clerk and municipal court clerk Leanna Bell pleaded guilty last week in Doniphan County District Court to felony counts of making a false writing and misuse of public funds.
In exchange for the plea, two additional felony counts were dismissed—official misconduct and theft.
Sentencing is set for August 8th.
According to court documents, the offenses occurred between January 1st, 2009 and December 31st, 2010.
Bell was a city employee from April 1994 through December 2010.
