( KNZA )--The Hiawatha Downtown Streetscape Project will be progressing to the east side of the Brown County Courthouse next week.
The flow of traffic will be reduced to south bound traffic only, with parking limited only to the west side on Sixth Street. Anyone who needs to do so can stop on the street to load and unload for elderly or special needs persons. Additional handicapped parking on the north side of Kex RX Pharmacy on Oregon Street will also be provided. Anyone requiring extra assistance should call ahead to the business they are visiting and make arrangements to have assistance provided. The city continue to ask for the public’s patience during this project. Anyone with questions should call Public Works Director Dave Grimm at (785) 742-3196.
