(KLZA) During the Tuesday night Falls City council meeting City Administrator Gary Jorn provided information on a number of parks in the City.
Jorn said the Ballpark Improvement project is on schedule. ( play audio :26 seconds )
The heavy rain that came on Cobblestone weekend in Falls City did point out a need for some changes to the new Morehead ballfield at Grandview Park that did not drain as had been hoped for. ( play audio :35 seconds )
Jorn went on to thank Park employee Randy Miller for his work at Grandview Park. ( play audio :14 seconds )
The Aquatic Center closed for the year on Labor Day weekend. Jorn said the pool had approximately 2,400 more visitors this year than last which increased the revenue about $8,100. Jorn made special note to thank Dorothy Towle for the shuttle service to the pool. ( play audio :12 seconds )
In wrapping up the Park report Jorn noted there have been about 230 more campers at Stanton Lake Park this year than last year.
